OUTSTANDING Highlanders midfielder Denzel Khumalo’s stock continues to rise after the Young Warriors star scored a second half beauty to help the Bulawayo giants register a second win in three days over visiting Yadah at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday.

Khumalo’s left-footed volley off a Mbongeni Ndlovu cross on 67 minutes clinched the full marks for Bosso who were deserving winners at the end.
Bosso beat the same opponents by the same scoreline in a cup match at the weekend.
Highlanders technical manager Madinda Ndlovu, who made wholesale changes to the team that beat Yadah in the cup game was full of praise for his charges.
“It was not an easy win, but I think winning a game of this nature by a goal of that quality, one would be proud to say the youngsters are doing very well,” Ndlovu said.
Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive said his charges had been affected by fatigue after fielding most of the players that did duty for them in the weekend game.

“I think my guys played well but I think fatigue contributed to our loss because if you look at Highlanders they had an advantage in that they did not use the same players that they used the last time we played them,” Ruzive said.
The two teams were deadlocked at half time after Highlanders took the lead on 10 minutes through a Newman Sianchali header off an Honest Moyo cross, only for former Bosso star Ralph Matema to level matters with another header off a Leeroy Murape corner five minutes before half time.
The visitors finished the match a man short after former How Mine and Highlanders forward Simba Sithole was given his marching orders with two minutes left on the clock for a second bookable offence.
