Engikuzwayo is the rapper’s first song of the year and a lead single on his forthcoming album, Bayashiselwa, to be released in November under Sabela Music.

The song has a blend of hip-hop and traditional sound, bringing out a unique melody laced well with the vocals.

Msizkay said he always had an artistic “crush” with Sandy and the collaboration was meant to be.

“I grew up listening to Sandra Ndebele’s music and I have always wanted to work with her. I am happy that she is on my song. I came up with the idea and made a beat and then approached the veteran Joe Maseko for him to help with the production and to add his cutting edge touch,” he said.

“We then went into the studio and it was great having her. I think that was the best studio session I have had, so far. I learnt a lot from her and I hope to work with her in future as she is a leader and has great influence in the local music industry, always bringing that cutting edge when she is on a song.”

Msizkay is rocking local airwaves like Skyz Metro FM and Khulumani FM with his single Nguyakukhumbula which was sampled from the legendary Lovemore Majaivana’s Umoya Wami.

The 29-year-old musician who hails from the high-density suburb of Magwegwe West is also known for songs such as Inkomo zamalobolo, Amafilimu, Ngiyabheja, Kudala kwam, Izolo, Willing to Fight and Zonke.
