Veronica Simeon (34) will provide free labour at Concession Magistrates’ Court after she was this week found guilty of criminal insult by Concession resident magistrate Ruth Moyo.

According to public prosecutor Media Gunda on August 8, Simeon sent her daughter to Chipo Kamutoro to demand her $3 debt, which Kamutoro did not have at that time. Simeon did not take the matter lightly and stormed Kamutoro’s homestead, shouting unprintable words. Her actions attracted the attention of neighbours, who immediately gathered.

Kamutoro filed a police report, leading to Simeon’s arrest and eventual prosecution.
