AirZim aborts Harare-Byo flight

Air Zimbabwe (AirZim) aborted its scheduled Harare-Bulawayo flight on Monday evening after its pilot reportedly fell ill, leaving several passengers stranded.
Passengers, who had checked-in for the flight were only advised of the cancellation hours later.

AirZim spokesperson, Firstme Vitori said: “The return flight from Harare to Bulawayo for April 2, 2018, had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, where the pilot fell ill inadvertently and the relief pilot was unavailable to take up duty immediately,” she said.

Vitori said some pilots were undergoing command training and would be joining the fleet at command level later this month.

  1. the flight from Vic falls to Harare was also cancelled last Thursday under the same circumstances. is it coincidence or thats the excuse they find fit these days.

    1. MOST OF THE PILOTS IN AIRZIM HAVE MOVED TO THE GULF SINCE AIRZIM HAVE NOT PAID
      THEIR CREWS FOR OVER 6YRS

  2. ‘Command’ is a military term not fit for civilian consumption unless if the intention is to intimidate…so the clueless lot at AirZim think ‘command’ training will turn around its fortunes shame…diesel pa Chinhoyi.
