In a statement, Zanu PF spokesperson, Simon Khaya Moyo said the politburo meeting on Wednesday resolved that illegal settlers in rural areas should move out after they had harvested their crops.

“In the meantime, authorities will be looking for alternative areas for those who were erroneously settled in prohibited areas,” he said.

Khaya Moyo said government was using the Infrastructure Development Bank, UDCORP and local authorities to regularise land allocated to people in unplanned places and those given land by land barons.

“Care is being taken to ensure that our people who were genuinely seeking shelter are protected,” he said.

Meanwhile, Khaya Moyo who is also Information minister has described the late presidential cameraman Artwell Karuru as a humble and respectful person.

Karuru died yesterday morning at a local hospital.

“I am at a loss for appropriate words to express the extent of the deep pain and sorrow we in the ministry that he served so well in the capacity of presidential cameraman feel deep down in our hearts with his passing on,” Khaya Moyo said in a statement.
