The finals will be held at the upmarket Pabloz Club & VIP Lounge at Sam Levy Village in Borrowdale.

Mushaninga said although they honoured some socialites and businesspeople during the last two editions of the awards, this year they will only focus on those who have made significant contributions to the modelling and fashion industry.

“As we pursue the promotion and growth of the modelling industry, we have removed some of the categories like the Most Flamboyant Female and Male from this year’s edition of the awards because they have no direct link with the modelling and fashion industry,” she said.

“As we revamp the awards, we have added an international category for models from our neighbouring countries and so far we have received entries from Zambia, Botswana and Namibia who will be sending their models to Zimbabwe for the ceremony.

Mushaninga said interested models can send their profiles to [email protected] before November 25.

She said the introduction of the international category for models was in preparation of the hosting of the Africa Modelling Awards that she said were in the pipeline.

Mushaninga said as a way of supporting local designers, some of them would showcase their latest designs at the awards ceremony.

“We are committed to honour those who excel in the modelling and fashion industry and it is exciting to see a lot of them (models) doing well in their separate careers,” she said.
