Kachote’s reign as Miss World Zimbabwe was, however, short-lived as she was dethroned amidst allegations that her nude pictures had leaked into the public domain.

The model said fashion had always been her first love and she would now focus on that and only work on the ramp in roles other than modelling.

“I have gotten to the highest level of beauty pageants, so there is nothing else I would want to achieve. If I am to go back into that field, it would be as a director or maybe just helping out,” she said.

“Fashion modelling has always been my first love and as for beauty pageants, I just did because I had the talent,” she said.

“Fashion modelling is, however, not a full-time career, it’s something I like and am just good at, I do as and when. I’m also into designing currently specialising in fashion overthrows, or kimonos, and I am hoping to launch my label soon.”

Kachote had a highly successful modelling career, which also saw her being crowned Miss Women University and Miss Harare in 2011, before cat-walking her way to clinch the national crown.

She has also participated at the Zimbabwe Fashion Week and Edgars Fashion Extravaganza and is currently running a programme called the Young Gems as an image consultant specialising in grooming, styling and personal development and branding.

Kachote said she is driven by her passion to groom young children to be responsible adults.

Some of the programmes that she offers are style and dress sense, manners, talent scouting, character building and deportment.
