MKZ — who is also known for love jams such as Yellow Bone, Sharayi featuring Mzoe 7 and Ben 10 — described his music as a “love catalyst” for couples and added that the latest track was dedicated to lovers.

The musician told NewsDay that he sang for love and his latest track was about the special relationship between lovers.

“I believe in love and I express it through my music and all my music is love and one listening to it gets that feeling of total happiness. I hope my listeners also feel the same when they are listening to my tracks,” he said.

The singer has in the past worked with South Africa-based Thulani Nyashanu, popularly known as DJ Face. The DJ has also worked with the likes of Maskiri, POY, Stunner, Mafriq and South African Mapaputsi. The artiste boasts of establishing his own sound when everyone is doing dancehall and hip-hop.

“I have come up with my original sound that people can identify me with. Everyone is doing dancehall and hip-hop, but I took a different route, Afro-dance music. As an African, I believe music is supposed to make people dance and that is what my music is all about, dancing, rejoicing and partying,” MKZ said.
