The group, which is Zimbabwe’s leading private media company, recognised the vendors across three categories that included high sales, commendable brand ambassadors, as well as excellent displays found at the vending site.

The notable winner was Pasipamire Bernard, who dominated sales for the Zimbabwe Independent, was a runner-up for The Standard and was selected as one of the candidates within the AMH ambassadorial role.

A few names also managed to maintain consistency, having won awards in the previous competition held in August, with Mposhiwa Kenneth retaining pole position for top sales for selling NewsDay and Felistas Gogo maintaining the runner up spot.

Mposhiwa lauded AMH for its good working relations with the vendors saying this had motivated him to brave the hot temperatures which were experienced the whole of September and still managed to push sales for the organisation.

“We have an excellent relationship and excellent communication channels with AMH, and it is the happiness that we derive from this that gives us the zeal and energy to soldier on and deliver on our obligations,” he said.

The awarded vendors were treated to grocery hampers. AMH’s channel development manager, Hatred Mandungumana said it was the organisation’s embedded principle to effectively work with the people distributing the product on the street.

“We pledge to continue working with you well going forward and I hope we all shall continue moving in this spirit,” he said.
