The groups that tussled for honours were Black Umfolosi, Impumelelo Shining Stars, Men of influence, Sunduza, Ukukhanya Kwezwe, Great Stars and Amaqhawe ENkosi.
The stage was warmed up by the seasoned Sunduza boys, who charmed the audience with their unique voices before making way for Men of Influence, who kept fans on their toes as they danced to melodious tunes.
Soon after their performance, Amaqhawe ENkosi and Ukukhukhya Kwezwe also belted out their music.
The fast-growing Great Stars, as well as the well-travelled Imbube groups from Bulawayo, Impumelelo Shining Stars and Black Umfolosi also took it to the stage, where they mesmerised crowds.
Impumelelo Shining Stars, who recently returned from South Africa, gave an exhilarating performance marked with silky dance moves that were a marvel to watch.
Black Umfolosi proved that they were still legends in the music industry, as they wowed fans.
Oscar Siziba, one of the festival organisers, said it was heart-warming to see a large number of people braving the chilly weather to attend the fiesta.
“We would like to thank all our fans, who left everything else for this festival. We are looking forward to having you again next year,” he said.
Siziba appealed for sponsors to support the festival.
The annual festival, which was launched in 2016, seeks to promote Imbube music. Copies of a 14-track disc containing music from the seven groups that performed were sold.
