“Revenue is now low, residents are no longer coming to pay their bills and even business is also low in Gwanda town. This problem has worsened by cash shortages,” Ndlovu said.

“We want to thank the Environment Water and Climate minister, otherwise it was going to be a disaster. The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa) has increased water pumping hours from seven to 12, but still this is not enough as the water problems still exist.”

Ndlovu said they will continue lobbying the government to allow them to take over the distribution of water from Zinwa.
