The Call On Me hitmaker, who will be in the country courtesy of 2 Kings Entertainment, will arrive with part of his 12-man band, with the rest expected in the country on Wednesday.

Speaking to NewsDay yesterday, 2 Kings Entertainment spokesperson, Dee Nosh said they were bringing Jah Cure to perform in the country as a way of honouring the fans’ request, whom they have given the opportunity to choose supporting acts for the gig via different social media platforms.

“The long wait for Jah Cure is over, as the top star will be landing on Tuesday (tomorrow) evening with his full band. After the Morgan Heritage concert, Jah Cure’s show promises to be yet another great show of the year, as we continue to receive an overwhelming response from the fans and as the organisers, we are working hard to make sure that everything goes well,” he said.

“We are into showbiz because we have people (fans), who continuously support our works and for that cause, we cannot afford to disappoint them, hence, bringing their favourite singer, Jah Cure as an early Christmas present for them.”

Dee Nosh said the voting platform to choose supporting acts — which has been running for the past few weeks with the Ninja president, Winky D leading the pack as of yesterday — will close today, and results will be announced tomorrow, when Jah Cure arrives.

The organisers urged fans to buy tickets in advance to ease pressure and avoid congestion on concert day.

“The concert tickets are already selling like hot cakes and fans can purchase their advance tickets, which are going for $15 ordinary, $25 VIP and $40 VVIP at Sopranos Coffee Shop in Avondale, Joina City Mattress shop, Farrel Furniture Shop, Borrowdale Samsung shop, Newlands and Westgate Coloursel Furniture shops,” he said.

In a 24-second video that has gone viral on different social media, Jah Cure displayed his eagerness to perform in the country promising his best.

“Zimbabwe, 2 Kings Entertainment, we will be there, December 16, Jah Cure long awaited . . . I wanna come to Mama Africa so long. . . We coming, seen, Zimbabwe show me some love I’m coming to give you all of me all of you, Zim, Zima, we will be there. Check it out,” he says in the video.

In another video, he posted while in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Jah Cure said he was expecting the best time of his life and the best treat, as he sets to deliver his best act, saying his job is to make people happy and make sure the music keeps them alive.

2 Kings Entertainment have taken the showbiz by storm by bringing into the country the most sought-after international artistes, among them celebrated Grammy award-winning group, the royal family of roots reggae, Morgan Heritage and Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz.
