Headman Moyo, Francis Nhando, Victor Matemadanda, Hoyini Samuel Bhila and Douglas Mahiya left the court as free people after Mujaya ordered the State to proceed by way of summons.

The trial was supposed to commence last Tuesday, but prosecutor, Tapiwa Kasema applied for the postponement of the case, saying his wife was not feeling well.

Yesterday he applied for another postponement, saying the acting Prosecutor-General, Ray Goba, who was supposed to sign the certificate of prosecution, was attending to other issues.

Kasema’s explanation did not go down well with the defence’s lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa, who castigated the State for dragging its feet on trial.
