BOXING superstar Charles Manyuchi has already started planning for his life after hanging his gloves.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) silver welterweight champion has acquired a significant fortune in the last few years, having won world titles.
While Manyuchi’s net worth could not be established, he has racked in some dollars including the $50 000 he was given by President Robert Mugabe for defending his title by beating Italian Gianculla Frezza last year.
He reportedly pocketed $35 000 for winning the WBC silver title in Russia this year and also received residential stands in Borrowdale and Westgate for defeating Jose Feria in a non-title fight in his homecoming fight a few weeks ago.
Yesterday, the 26-year-old boxer who has also invested in property, revealed a partnership deal with his principal sponsor Mr T35.
Manyuchi said he has joined Mr T35 Auctioneers as a shareholder to ensure that an alternative career is available to him when his sporting career ends.

“This company Mr T35 agreed to support my talent some four years ago when they were still sponsoring Caps United. I approached them after all the other corporates and individuals were reluctant and turning down my proposal for sponsorship. Mr T35 put their trust in me and made all the value addition, encouragement and motivation I desperately needed,” Manyuchi said.
Manyuchi said he does not want to fall into the same trap as other local sportspersons who have struggled to make ends meet or died as paupers after their peak.
“I received all the necessary support, be it financial and moral, I needed to be what I’m today. I have joined the company Mr T35 Auctioneers as a shareholder because I need to prepare for life after boxing. I’m thinking about my future and my family. I’m very proud and elated to be part of this visionary company. I’m inviting the government, companies, parastatals and individuals to support us by giving us their unwanted cars, furniture and household goods for auction at Mr T35 Auctioneers.
“I never thought I would be a director of such a big company one day and I would like to thank Mr T35 for the continued support. Their dedication to my growth as a sportsman and an individual is amazing. I’m hoping other companies will also follow suit in supporting sports people in this country. I also urge the sports people to work hard, remain disciplined and focussed even if things are not working well because God’s time is always the best,” Manyuchi added.
