Tsano made a cameo debut at Umahlekisa Comedy Night, where he featured alongside Ntando Van Moyo, Clive Chigubhu, HO and Mandla Simbarashe.

Tomorrow night, he will once again share the stage with top comedians Ntando Van Moyo, Clive Chigubhu and Babongile Skhonjwa at the monthly show.

“After reading a lot about this show in the papers, I thought of sharing the jokes I share with my boys (Highlanders FC players) in camp and at training sessions in March. The response I got prompted me to try it again and this Friday, I will make the house laugh with witty jokes that will also include football jokes,” Tsano said.

Tsano, who is known for his hilarious pre and post-match media interviews, said he has always been a comedian from a tender age.

“Comedy is an inborn thing. It comes naturally and I have always been a person who makes everyone laugh. Even my grandchildren know that when Tsano comes, ribs crack,” he said.

“Umahlekisa is scheduling more shows for me and I promise to be more active this December during off season, but for now, I urge patrons to come in their numbers this Friday.”

Moyo, who is also founder of Umahlekisa Comedy Club, said bringing Tsano to the stage was part of the club’s initiative to build a wider fan base.

“It’s part of a new drive, where we are involving prominent people in our line ups to try and lure their followers to comedy. It’s part of an audience building and collaborations programme we are currently involved in,” he said.
