The Bulawayo City Council-owned outfit have so far punched well above their weight and occupy sixth position on the log with 14 points to their credit.

Harare City, on the other hand, has failed to live up to expectation despite a massive recruitment drive and their indifferent start led to the sacking of Taurai Mangwiro, who has since been replaced by former Dynamos and Warriors midfielder Moses Chunga.

The Sunshine Boys sit two rungs below Bulawayo City after accumulating 12 points from nine matches, but Mujokoro said today’s encounter will be a tight affair with Harare City parading an array of stars drawing from the experience of Chunga.

“We are looking forward to a good game, but we have respect for Harare City as they are a good team with talented players and a well-versed coach,” Mujokoro said.

“Both teams won away from home in their last games so it is bound to be a tight encounter, but our boys have become accustomed to the style of our coach Beefy (Philani Ncube) and that has been our advantage because we have gelled as a team.”

Bulawayo City won 1-0 away to Mutare City in their last outing, while Harare City overcame Ngezi Platinum 2-1 and Chunga said their target is to achieve consistency.

“So far everything has gone accordingly except that we are still without the guys who are with the national team. Our target is to collect maximum points because we strive for consistency as this will build confidence,” Chunga said.

Harare City’s trio of Farai Madhananga, Blessing Moyo and Raphael Manuvire are with the Warriors squad whose participation at the on-going Cosafa Cup came to a premature end and will not make it back home on time for today’s clash.
