The musicians will be backed by another gospel music outfit, the Remnants Group, from Madziwa.

The church’s founder, Brighton Chikomo, said music had a role to play in advancing the gospel and they had deliberately engaged gospel musicians for their ground-breaking event.

“Gospel music has a critical role to play in advancing the gospel and tomorrow we will have a number of leading and upcoming gospel musicians coming to the launch of our Open Heaven Holy Ground Launch behind Mindy’s Leisure Centre,” he said.

Chikomo, who is known for his apples and flowers miracles, said God had ordained him for a time like now.

“God is about to heal Zimbabwe and I am sent with a message of hope and miracles for those that believe. The season is now and there is no more delay,” he said.

Forward Mazuruse, who is among the musicians billed to perform, said he was happy to be taking his music to the churches.

“Music, for me, is ministry and when I go on stage I take it to be an altar. It’s one thing having the ministry in you and another getting the platform,” he said.

Mpostori Wency, known for his chart-busting hits Musandikanganwe, Weminana and Mvura Yakawanda, said tomorrow night is going to be off the hook.

“I believe God has a message for Zimbabwe and as gospel musicians we have a role to play in this dispensation,” he said.

The church will unveil its “holy ground,” which will be a meeting place for prayers, complete with lodges for travelling congregants, who want to meet Chikomo for deliverance.
