Speaking to NewsDay, the Extra Valembe leader said the DVD, which carries social subjects and love messages, will feature seven videos he felt were most popular with fans.

“I want to thank my loyal fans for their patience and standing by me through thick and thin. All the groundwork has been done (for the video release) and I want to assure my fans that the wait is over as Mupedza Nyaya DVD is ready for the market,” he said.

“We are confident that we have put enough effort to give our fans an excellent product of high quality, that will be carrying some of our previous songs, among them Kutanda Botso, Nherera Nyarara, Sarura Wako, Dadi, Vakadzi Makaoma, which I featured Simon Mutambi and my debut hit-song Mamvemve.”

Simbi Hombe, as the musician is affectionately known, said the videos, shot by Blessing Magaya, are of high quality and meet international standards, offering a completely new package to his previous videos.

Since storming onto the music scene after winning the 2007 Chibuku Road to Fame top prize, Gasa has met with mixed fortunes in the music business.

In 2013, the Simbi Hombe hit-maker was involved in a wrangle with Diamond Studio that left him and his band grounded for some months, as his instruments were confiscated forcing them to cancel several shows.

Albums under the Chinhoyi-based artiste’s belt are Sungura Kompressor, Mufaro Kwamuri, Simbi Hombe, Pin Code and Mupedza Nyaya.
