Ndlovu confirmed the developments to NewsDay: “My two dramas have been recognised as they have been chosen to be premiered this month on one of South Africa’s favourite stations. I am still waiting for Mzansi Magic to give me the actual dates when they will be premiered.”

Ndlovu said the two dramas were submitted to the television station last year and he was delighted they were approved.

Silence is about a pastor, who does not have a calling, but goes into ministry for money and women, while Bafo: My Blood is about a boy, who leaves Zimbabwe for Johannesburg in search of greener pastures.

“There is so much moral decay among our people. Most African people have lost ubuntu and we have turned against the source, God, hence all this decay we see around. We are encouraging people to remember how God created them to uphold good principles in life,” he said.

Ndlovu said he hoped to work with the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s ZTV, while plans were afoot to take his other piece, Madlela, to Mzansi Magic. Madlela is a comedy drama that tackles social issues that bedevil Zimbabweans residing in South Africa.
