SimbaTagz, who is set to represent Zimbabwe at Africa Music Concert this weekend in Johannesburg, has partnered with one of Africa’s best dancehall chanters, Burna Boy, on his forthcoming album, Spaceship.

“When he was in Zimbabwe a few months ago, we were able to work on about four songs, two of which made the album and one that I personally produced. I got to produce the track, Realest, and did vocal production on Single Girl,” he said.

SimbaTagz praised Burna Boy for his creativity and exceptional lyrics.

“We were able to do five songs in two days in a session with beats from Take Fizzo, Verseless and myself,” he said.

The producer cum-musician is set to share the stage with Africa’s best, including Cassper Nyovest, Burna Boy, Busie, Uhuru, Wizkid and Cash Time Life at the Johannesburg concert.

“I’m excited about the opportunity, especially to be part of the group of people that’s helping to redefine Zimbabwe to Africa and the world at this time. I think it’s going to be a great show, so I definitely want to give a great set there,” SimbaTagz said.

The awardwinning producer revealed was working on a solo album. In the past, Simba Tagz has collaborated with arguably Nigeria’s best rapper, Ice Prince, on the track, Don’t Leave.

Simba Tagz won the best producer’s award at last year’s Zim Hip Hop Awards.
