SILENCE CHARUMBIRA

The trio, Vengai, Melody and Diana Gurure, were not asked to plead, but were remanded to November 24 for trial on $20 bail each and ordered not to interfere with witnesses.

Prosecutor Nyikadzino Machingura alleged that last Friday, the complainant in the matter, Gladys Madzakaire, who is a neighbour of the accused, went to the latter’s home to pass her condolences following the death of their mother.

Instead, the three women became violent and started assaulting Madzakaire using open hands and fists at the same time accusing her of causing the death of their mother.

In a fit of rage, they went ahead and invited her to come and feast on their mother’s flesh, but were eventually restrained by another neighbour, Spiwe Chizema.
