The platinum miners are yet to lose a match after 22 matches and appear to be running away with the title.

With 12 games to go to the end of the season, Ngezi need just seven wins to clinch the title. Their current form points to them winning promotion.

Ex-premiership sides Gunners and Black Rhinos also scored vital away wins at the weekend against Mushowani and Herentals respectively, but it’s now out of their hands.

The relegation scrap at the bottom of the log is a tight affair with at least six teams in danger of the drop.
