It was a similar affair for the sizeable crowd that attended the Soul Afrika and Taurai Mandebvu show at the New Ambassador Hotel.

The newly signed Kenako Muzik artistes did not disappoint proving why they just might be the next big thing in the local music scene when they displayed well-orchestrated live band performances.

Despite pulling a sizeable crowd and delaying the starting time by almost an hour, the Soul Afrika duo of Tatenda Mathe and Takura Shonhai enthralled fans at the venue with a mixed piece including their songs and those by international artistes.

The upcoming Afro pop boy band attested their prowess performing love songs by international artistes with ease while Mandebvu on the other hand did not disappoint with high energy coupled with a few dance moves.

Although some parts of the crowd felt that the young artistes needed to work more on increasing the number of their personal songs to avoid relying on past glories and other artistes’ songs, the show was a significant statement of relevance for the artistes under the new stable.

Part of the crowd was the chidzoka hit-maker Rockford “Roki” Josphats and Ba Shupi (real name Peace Ndlovu) who turned a few heads as they unpacked dance moves during the performances.

Kenako Muzik is a new music recording stable which is continuously making waves on the local music scene in all genres, signing artistes, releasing international standard videos and organising events.
