The single, which was produced by Blessing Masanga at Revival Studios, tells the story of two brothers excited about going to pay lobola.

Musarurwa said he decided to feature Sulu to give the project a cutting edge because of the latter’s solid profile on the local music scene.

“I decided to feature Sulu because I feel he is one of the big artistes in Zimbabwe and, besides, I am a dendera fan so I just like the dendera beat,” he said. He said the single was just a gap-filler since his last album, Chiga-Chikura, was still on the market, but he would soon start working on the video.

“I decided to do a single because we have a hot album called Chiga-Chikura which is on the market for now and we are going to work on the video very soon,” he said.

Prince, who said he grew up singing at home and at school, officially launched his music career in 2010 after graduating from the Zimbabwe College of Music.

He recorded his first six-track album titled Kurarama with Artisan Studios. Some of the tracks are in Shona and others in English and Nyanja.

In 2012, he released his second album, Gara Muberevere, before releasing Gogodera.

He also features on his cousin Pah Chihera’s song Runonzi Rudo. “When I did the song Runonzi Rudo with Pah Chihera, I did not know that it would become a hit. She asked me to contribute and I did my best. I am happy that it came out like that,” he said.

Musarurwa said the traditional flair in his music was inspired by the works of superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and the late mbira princess Chiwoniso Maraire.
