The GameCocks will be registering striker Tambudzai Ngulube and defender Tinashe Mthimkhulu, who is replacing veteran Mkhokheli Dube who is being released, while defender Frank Bushiri will be loaned out to Zifa Central Region Division One side Shabanie Mine.

Club chairman Lifa Ncube confirmed the developments yesterday.

“Basically, we will be registering two players from our juniors so that they have game time as we prepare them for next season. We have released Mshoza (Dube) and Bushiri will be back in January and we are loaning him to Shabanie,” Ncube said.

Their fading Bulawayo neighbours, Highlanders, sitting on position nine on the log table, have registered striker Obert “Adebayor” Tafira, who played his first game coming in as substitute in the 88th minute for Obadiah Tarumbwa against Dynamos on Sunday.

Also being registered is utility player Peter Muduhwa, signed at the beginning of the season and loaned to Southern Region Soccer League side Bulawayo Chiefs.

They are also bringing in McCarthy Dube from the Division Two side after failing to get striker Ishmael Wadi from Chiefs.

Chapungu have grabbed striker Patrick Khumbula from defending champions Dynamos and will also be registering two players from their juniors.

“We have registered Patrick Khumbula from Dynamos and we are promoting two juniors, defender-cum-midfielder Charles Mativenga and Leeroy Bernard, but we are yet to decide on who we are parting ways with,” coach John Nyikadzino said.

FC Platinum, who have gained much ground in the last few games, have signed Tsholotsho midfielder Gerald Takwara with reports that Thabani Kamusoko could be leaving for South Africa, while Donald Ngoma left for Young Africans in Tanzania and Obrey Chirwa for Hobro in Denmark.

Zambian Aaron Katebe is also likely to be moving with Walter Musona and Wisdom Mutasa eyeing moves to Europe for Slovakia’s FK Seneca.

How Mine vice-chairman Alpha Matumbura said the gold miners, also in contention for the championship, were happy with their squad.

They have deregistered 2014 Golden Boot award winner Charles Sibanda, who was injured in a traffic accident, and will be registering Louis Matawu and Fungai Chirinda.

“We will not be doing any major signings. The current crop of players can take us through the season. We are just registering Matawu and Chirinda,” Matumbura said.

Hwange coach Nation Dube said he had been on the hunt for strikers, but in vain and would resort to promoting players from the juniors.

Chipangano would have wanted a good striker to replace Evans Rusike who has made a move to South Africa’s Maritzburg United while they are yet to make a decision on Isaac Masame who has been absent without official leave.
