Katsande — who is popularly known as Tin Tin in entertainment circles — got pregnant notwithstanding that she suffered from endometriosis, a gynaecological condition that causes extreme pain and infertility in women.

On Wednesday Katsande appeared in public together with her husband as part of the guests who attended the launch of MultiChoice’s new channel Zambezi Magic at MultiChoice offices in Avondale, Harare.

The former Studio 263 actress is now customarily married to Chigariro who paid lobola for her at a private ceremony recently. Over the past months, she had been posting photographs in which she featured with Chigariro on Facebook.

Katsande told NewsDay yesterday she was happy to have finally settled down in marriage and thanked God for answering her prayers.

“I have been keeping things out of the public. The media has always focused on my personal life and not even promoted my very successful entertainment career. As a result I have suffered immensely and so has my family, but I have always soldiered on,” she said.

“I am now happily married and expecting after doctors had said I could never conceive. Finally, God answered my prayers, I am a living testimony and I have a story to tell. I will still let my light shine and share my journey one day in a bid to inspire others in their life journey.”
