In a postmortem of the travel and tourism fair which ran from June 18 to June 20, ZTA said “all external exhibitors revealed that they were happy with the quality of buyers and business conducted, and they assured us of their return to Sanganai 2016”.
ZTA said planned exhibition space was taken up and a number of companies were requesting more space, an indication that the venue was becoming smaller for the showcase.
A total of 128 companies participated, up 10% from last year’s figures.
There was an increase in foreign exhibitors which totalled 23, a 17% increase compared to the 10% increase in 2014.
ZTA said one of the major events at this year’s expo was the culinary expo that ran concurrently with Sanganai exhibition with more than 30 chefs participating in showcasing culinary skills.
“This was done in view of growing culinary tourism in the country,” ZTA said.
