The endorsement, which will see him getting a car from the security firm by December as well as three fully sponsored album launches, was inspired by one of the songs in the new offering entitled Ndione which corresponds with the company’s motto: Our eye is your security.

National Eye Security director Chamu Chiwanza said the song reminded him that God was the main protector even for their own customers.

“The song Ndione really touched me and it made me see that beyond all the security we have offered for the time we have been in business, only God can see where no other person can and that is important for us as a business,” he said.

Thembalami said the endorsement was a blessing.

Thembalami and Mkhululi

“God works in mysterious ways because when I started thinking about this event (the launch) I had no money, but all has come to pass tonight,” he said.

It was the icing on the cake for Thembalami after his electric performance along with South Africa-based Joyous Celebration star Mkhululi Bhebhe.

The Chitungwiza-bred singer started his performance with a track titled Bayethe before churning track after track.

He invited Bhebhe and they sang one of the songs on the new album titled Mapapiro.

Bhebhe, who is also set to do a debut live DVD recording in Harare in September, spent less than 30 minutes on stage before Zimpraise dance leader Wellington Kwenda took over.

The heavily-built Kwenda’s stage presence sent the whole auditorium into a frenzy as he chanted a couple of praise lyrics.

The new album is Thembalami’s third and like with the previous two the artiste has yet again proved he is versatile.

Thembelami is a rising gospel artiste who has worked with various musicians that include Extra-Large before turning to gospel music and was part of Zimpraise since its inception in 2007.
