Two weeks ago Mushekwi scored a double in Djurgardens’ 3-1 win over Falkenberg. The win over Atvidaberg on Monday has lifted Mushekwi’s club to fourth position on the league table with 16 points from eight matches of the campaign. IFK Goteborg lead the standings with 19 points from the same number of matches.

Fotboll, Allsvenskan, Häcken - Djurgården

The 27-year-old striker, on loan to the Swedish side from South African Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns, could become the first Zimbabwean to win the Golden Boot Award in that league. The former Caps United striker had appeared to give up on his career after sustaining a serious injury while on loan at Belgian side KV Oostende on February 15 last year. He had not kicked a soccer ball since then as he struggled to recover from the injury. But now everything appears to be falling in place for the Zimbabwean as he settles in the Swedish league.
