Gospel rapper ropes in Flame B

YET another gospel hip-hop artiste, Tendai “Jay Madz” Madore has roped in gospel sensation Blessing “Flame B” Manyangadze for his debut music video titled Kete set for release in June.

Flame B is popularly known for his hit track Handidzokere Kumba, which many, however, know as Kana Chechi Yanakidza So — one of the lines in the song.

Madore has confidence in the new track which is a fusion of hip-hop and Flame B’s contemporary style to entice local gospel music fans.

“I really feel the video and the sound track will definitely be something to remember. I had a great feeling about it even before it was mastered. It is something I really cherish,” Madore said.

Madore, who has featured many gospel artistes, believes Flame B possesses an amazing versatility that blends well with his lyrics.

“There were many well-known musicians who wanted to do a song with me way before I collaborated with Flame B, but now I think with him I have struck the right chords,” he said.

“Flame B is really talented, unique and it is hard to trace his sonic inspiration. He is just amazing,” Madore said.

Flame B, who has in the past become a household name with his gospel hits like Handidzokere Kumba topping local charts, said his focus was on promoting local talented youths to have a positive influence on the society.

“I see a positive energy in Jay Madz and I think he is doing well. He will end up at the top if he continues to persevere,” he

“All I am doing is trying to promote the youth to have a positive influence in society through gospel music. I am very comfortable working with them regardless of their genre.”

Local gospel musicians have ostensibly revolutionarised the genre that used to have a rooted contemporary feel into diverse music which is only explained by the lyrics and not the beat.
