PARLIAMENT yesterday interviewed candidates shortlisted for the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) and the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec).

Only three out of the six candidates who were shortlisted for the ZHRC turned up and were competing for one post. These included Choice Damiso, Hazvinei Pauline Jacobs Zvorwadza and Mathlene Mujokoro, while other shortlisted candidates, Roseline Mangofa, Everjoice Win and Olivia Tsitsi Zvedi, did not turn up.

Of the 12 candidates shortlisted for two vacant posts at Zec, 10 turned up for the interviews.

They included Bernard Chahuruva, Chakanyuka Karase, Jacob Gonese, Patrick Huni, Qhubani Moyo, Wenceslaus Mudyanadzo, Tayengwa Mutswe, Rukudzo Murapa, Paul Sambo, and John Saungweme.

Interviews for the Zimbabwe Gender Commission will be held today and 30 candidates were shortlisted for seven vacancies. Interviews for the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission will be held tomorrow and the 33 shortlisted candidates will compete for eight slots.
