ORGANISERS of the upcoming Zahara/Mafikizolo show scheduled for Friday at the Harare International Conference Centre have said they anticipate another full house for the show.

Simmad Promotions said yesterday the tickets for the gig are selling like hot cakes. This comes after another show in December pitting Mafikizolo that became chaotic due to over-subscription with over 1 000 people being turned away.
The organisers said they have done their homework this time around and are selling advance tickets from seven outlets in the capital city.
“At this rate and using the experience that we have we anticipate another full house for the gig. The tickets are selling fast and those that do not want the disappointment of being turned away are advised to purchase their tickets on time,” said Simmad director Simba Madziwa.
“We are doing almost everything better this time as we have engaged a new sound company and a new lighting company. We had Devine Concerts last time and for some reason some artistes complained about poor sound so we have changed to Sounds Vantastic as well as a different lighting company AV Pro.”
The travelling party is expected in Harare on Friday noon aboard a South African Airways flight after which they will head to Rainbow Towers Hotel where they have been booked to stay.
At lunch time they are expected to attend a reception at the South African Ambassador’s residence.
Madziwa, however said they hope to add two more local acts on the line-up of local acts in response to several calls by local artistes.
This will make the total number of local acts five as the initial line up had Winky D, Jah Prayzah and Pah Chihera.
“The calls have been overwhelming and we hope to come up with the final list soon so that we put the issue to finality,” said Madziwa.
