Musikavanhu had dragged a top Vehicle Inspection Department officer, Oswald Chiwashira, to court demanding $10 000 compensation for a breach of marriage promise.

She, however, lost her temper while Makunde was reading out his ruling on the matter and accused him of misrepresenting the facts she had presented in court.

When Makunde ordered her to calm down, Musikavanhu shouted back saying: “Those facts are false, who said that in court? Where are you getting those facts?” before she stormed out of the courtroom in a fit of rage.

Police officers stationed at the court moved in to arrest Musikavanhu, but the magistrate restrained them.

“Leave her alone, let her go, I will deliver the judgment in her absence,” Makunde said before he dismissed her compensation claims as baseless.

Musikavanhu had accused Chiwashira of forcing her to terminate a pregnancy and wasting her time by failing to honour his marriage promise.

The damages comprised of $3 000 for breach of marriage promise, $3 000 being damages for time wasting and $4 000 being damages for forced abortion.
However, Chiwashira in his defence accused Musikavanhu of being “a gold digger” only after his wealth.
