22 January 2015 14:30 (CAT) Hundreds of Zanu PF youths waiting for the arrival of President Robert Mugabe from his long holiday in the East, are currently demonstrating against former party secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa at the Harare International Airport.

Mugabe is due to arrive this afternoon and with a stage set, it appears he will address the gathering.

Led by the party’s Harare Provincial Commissar Shadreck Mashayamombe, the demonstrations are marked by anti Mutasa slogans with posters emblazoned with phrases like “Mutasa is Judas Iscariot”

Mutasa fell out of favour with Mugabe after allegations that he and former Vice President Joice Mujuru and many other Zanu PF officials were plotting to oust Mugabe at the party’s congress held in December last year.

This led to several suspensions and explusions which saw heavyweights like former spokesperson Rugare Gumbo and former Labour minister Nicholas Goche being sildelined.

Last week Mutasa wrote a scathing statement denouncing the congress as null and void.
