The former AmaZulu and Masvingo United left back played the whole game, but was yellow-carded in the 77th minute of the match.

Sparta remained in second place with 28 points after the third loss of the season while Plzen are four points clear at the top.

In the German Bundesliga, Borussia M’gladbach clinched a 3-1 win over Hoffeinhem with reports that Zimbabwe international Knowledge Musona has been frozen out of the German side and could possibly rejoined South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in January.

Musona was wanted by a number of clubs in Europe, but chose to stay in German with the hope of resurrecting his career and his stay now, due to lack of action, is in doubt and needs to make a quick move to get game time.

The Absa Premiership will return to action tomorrow following the postpoment of games to allow players to mourn and lay to rest former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, who was shot and killed last Sunday evening in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, while visiting his girlfriend, actress and singer Kelly Khumalo.

He was laid to rest on Saturday at the Heroes’ Acre in Chesterville cemetery in Durban, his hometown.
