Chimbetete said that although he had just released the album, advance plans were already underway to produce videos for it and they were expected to be out in the next few weeks.

“I hope to have it played on air and we are planning on recording videos for some of the songs which we would like to be played on local and international television stations,” he said.

Chimbete added that they also did shows which they dubbed “worship experiences” and they used these to promote the album locally as well.

They did not collaborate with any other musicians on the album, but hoped to do so in the near future.

Chimbetete said Zimbabwe had a lot of talent and new artistes were coming up thus more platforms should be given to new artistes in order for their music to be known.

“One of our desires is to promote talent in Zimbabwe, so to achieve this we incorporate upcoming musicians in our shows,” he said.

He said with four albums under their belt, they were experienced enough and thus they felt the need to share their knowledge with other artistes.

Chimbetete said his biggest challenge was always media exposure and getting himself heard out there.

“Despite the challenge, we have, however, done three other albums which have been received well by the public and we have done shows with the likes of Pastor G and Takesure Zamar,” he said.

He added that by the grace of God, he hoped to record at least one album each year and his next album was scheduled for June next year.

Chimbetete said Tami Bimha had been instrumental in this project together with the D28 team who made the album a reality — Hope Tembo (keyboards and vocals), Lloyd Banda (drums), Enock Rugube (bass guitar), Welly Strings Mutepaire (lead guitar), Bongani Ndlovu (saxophone and vocals), Aleta Nyakurai (vocals), Chenai Chimbetete (vocals), Ennia Jandura (vocals) and Pamela Mukuze (vocals).

“We also thank our Pastor Reverend Zowa who constantly supports and prays for us. Above all I thank God who is the author of it all. We give Him all the glory,” he said.
