The Festival, which is running under the theme Re-Inspire Re-Imagine, is beginning on September 25, ending on the 28th at Alex Sports Club.

It will feature international acts such as Nneka (Germany), Loyiso Gola (South Africa), Buddy Wakefield (USA), The Layabouts (USA) and Chester Missing (South Africa).

Local acts that will participate include Netsayi, Tehn Diamond, Ammara Brown, Jason Leroux, Ba Shupi, Rax and Raydizz.

Magamba Network’s media liaison officer Tafadzwa Sharaunga said this year’s edition would inspire the public to rethink creatively, to breathe life into the world, to Re-Inspire and Re-Imagine.

“Expect a transformed arena including funky installations that will range from wild to wilder, an up-cycling contest between local designers and engineers, a fun day for the young and families,” Sharaunga said.

He said this year’s venue, which is on the edge of the central business district, would provide festival goers a reason to rush from their busy schedules and revel in the range of art festivities.

“The venue will be transformed into a vibrant festive hub and on the last day of the festival, the concerts will move to the Peace in the Hood venue in Chitungwiza.”

Shoko Festival is one of Zimbabwe’s fastest growing international arts festivals produced by Magamba Network. It features urban culture, music, poetry, comedy, DJ parties, new media workshops and awards.
