ABOUT #PitchIn

Do you feel there something that is being wrongly done in your community?

Are you affected by poor service delivery or neglect of public infrastructure?

Do you feel your council is not doing something, somewhere and that you have been forced to stand aside and do nothing because there is platform for you to express yourself?

Well, it’s time to grab your phone, tablet or camera so that you can #PitchIn and nudge the authorities not to prioritise collection of revenue, purchase of luxury vehicles and other self-embellishment activities over service delivery.

#PitchIn is an #AMHVoices initiative to provide a platform for wonderful citizens of this country to remind their respective public office bearers of their duty.

So, how do we #PitchIn?

Simple, from whichever local authority you reside, just snap a picture of anything that you think your council is neglecting, be it broken sewer lines, burst water pipes, uncollected refuse, broken public toilets or potholes.

Whatsapp or Viber your picture and location to our usual number +263 773 245 709, tweet or DM it to @NewsDayZimbabwe or inbox to our NewsDay-Zimbabwe Facebook page and we will publish these on our website.

Hopefully a barrage of pictures will wake our city fathers up. Tapiwa Zivira, Online Reporter
