There was drama at Super Sport Park in Centurion, Pretoria over the weekend when American rapper Wiz Khalifa real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz was handed a bra by a fan during his performance at the highly-anticipated Castle Lite Extra Cold Music Concert.

WINSTONE ANTONIO IN PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA

After being thrilled by the musician’s performance, a female fan presented the rapper with a pink bra as a way of showing her appreciation of the rapper’s performance.

Wiz Khalifa, who was in his maiden South African performance, did not disappoint during his act, belting some of his hits songs like Black and Yellow.

At the concert he shared the stage with a host of artistes including rapper Nas, house musician Zakes Bantwini, Black Coffee, multiple SAMA awards winning group Mi Casa, DJ Clock and Black Mambazo among other artistes.

Hundreds of the fans who braved the chilly weather to grace the concert had the opportunity to download songs that were performed at the show to their mobile phones, from the Extra Cold Music site through free Wi-Fi.

The concert which was organised by Castle Lite provided some of the South African artistes with a platform to collaborate with international acts.

American rapper Nas and his Illmatic Orchestra, also performing in South Africa for their first time, collaborated with a South African Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra.

At the concert Mi Casa and Ladysmith Black Mambazo performed a collaboration they recorded specifically for the concert.

The well-attended concert was produced by Grammy Award-winning music legend Timbaland.

Timberland shocked revellers as he proved that he was not aware where the show was being held as he continuously said the show was in Johannesburg instead of Pretoria.

During his set, Timberland performed mostly his own tracks and some that he produced for other musicians like Jay Z among others.

The concert also featured some South African hottest DJs among them DJ Clock with Beatenberg and Reason.

The venue had a state-of-the-art sound system complemented by LED screens.

An official from Castle Lite said they were overwhelmed by the success of the show.

Castle Lite has previously brought some international Hip Hop heavyweights such as Drake, Kanye West and Wale to South Africa.
