The group, made up of war veterans and Zanu PF activists among them schoolchildren, seemed to care less about the heavy police presence as they denounced their party provincial leaders for allegedly working in cahoots with the land owner Tongaat Hulett and causing their arrest.

Magistrate Honest Musiyiwa remanded them in custody to today and tomorrow.

However, one of the invaders, a 17-year-old student at Hlanganani Secondary School, was set free on account of his age.

Their lawyer Welly Muzenda told the court that his clients were denying the charges and would soon apply for bail.
