The famed Aces Youth Soccer Academy, which has produced the likes of Warriors stars Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat, will also be part of the competition together with new kids on the block Total Football Academy.

Former Premiership side Gunners, now known as Yada Gunners after a takeover by Prophet Walter Magaya, are also taking part together with Black Rhinos.

The teams have been divided into two groups and will only be mixed for tournaments.

The new structure is being used by the league to attract sponsors for next season as they seek to bring out the next breed of football stars.

Junior football development in the country has been hampered by lack of resources and only the National Association of Primary Heads (Naph) and National Association of Secondary Heads (Nash) hold tournaments during the second school terms.
