“I am happy to have been afforded such an opportunity to perform at a show of such magnitude and fans should come in their numbers and witness the surprise package that I have arranged for them,” Tariro neGitare said.

The Mtukudzi-inspired musician said sharing the stage with her mentor would be one of the most memorable shows she had always cherished. After making her debut solo performance at the Harare International Festival of the Arts in 2012 through the Acoustic Night, a project she founded, the musician continues to make waves on the local showbiz scene.

The highly-anticipated Greatest Hits Concert will feature artistes like Amara Brown, Donald Kanyuchi, Jean Masters and Picky Kasamba, among others.

The show will be Tuku’s first following his return last month from a three-month tour of the United States.

The concert, which is being organised by Tuku Music in partnership with ZiFM Stereo, Impala Car Rental and Zimbo Jam, will see fans deciding on songs that will be performed at the show.

Fans will vote through the Zimbojam website platform and ZiFM Stereo with the votes collected resulting in a playlist for the show. Tuku and his band, The Black Spirits, went on a whirlwind tour of the US and performed in 10 states. Tuku also put up a show at the African Music Festival on the idyllic Caribbean island of Montserrat. Tuku was presented with the Global Service Award by Skagit Valley College in the US for his contribution to children’s rights.
