The track is off his upcoming album set to be released at the monthend.

Matty, as he prefers to be called, told NewsDay the song was composed for his lover.

“When a man is in true love you find yourself just singing praises to the better half,” he said.

“That happened to me, but the only difference is that I recorded the praises.”

The love-strewn song that has a roots rockers feel was mixed and mastered by Tapiwa ‘Hillgun’ Gunde, formerly of Country Boy Records. The dreadlocked singer thinks the track will take revellers down memory lane.

“This single is different because I used a well known instrumental (comedown father riddim) which takes us back to old skool style reggae,” he said.

Accompanied by a video that is already showing on BBC, the song features Aarifa Hassan, Anna Moore and was directed by Andy Cutta from Bulawayo.

The former Tumbuka dance company member said the album would also feature Tererai Mugwadi on a song titled She Tease Me. He said he aims to launch the album when he travels to Zimbabwe in May.

Singing in Ndebele and Shona, the musician has collaborated with Oliver Mtukudzi, DizzyDon, Pauline Gundidza, Prometheus and Mannex.
