  5. Zvipiko. Demonstrate that commitment to us. Just today, at a spot in Groomridge, as I drove past Spar and approaching the T- junction where there is a stop sign, there was a merc ahead that stopped in to observe the ‘stop sign’ and i did the same, seeing that it was all clear i proceeded turning left following the merc and i was stopped. The offences were seat belt, failure to observe the stop sign and outdated zbc radio licence, put together the officer said they want $50. I then pleaded to pay $10 for the seat belt because i was busy sorting out my child’s schooling issues. He took the $10 and asked me to go, but i insisted on a ticket which he gave me grudgingly! Their interpretation of the ‘stop sign’ is also dubious and i am sure i am not the only victim. I am not even sure that the offence of not fastening the seat belt calls for a fine of $10! Is it not $5?

  6. Police are the most corrupt pple in Zim, me i always tell police at roadblocks that i don’t trust them even if a pick a lost item better give to a civilian than a policeman. U will waste ur time thinking u are serving somebody while u are worsening the situation. How on earth have u ever heard that any offence in the road starts from $20 upwards – this is wat ZRP says on the roads. This is crazy. Wen u start to query the charge, they ask u ur workplace’s name etc, that’s nonsense. Are these ladies and gentlemen trained the right things on their training programme – i wonder. Maybe they are trained to be corrupt wen don’t know. Corruption mapurisa manyanya – the Beatrice case gives a good example burning fuel paid by tax payers to follow stolen money, biting a innocent family. I will never encourage my son to work as a policeman in Zim this ndabheja.
