SOUTH African songstress Zahara jets in on Friday for a show at 7 Arts Theatre to perform alongside Zimbabwe’s music superstar Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi and Tariro neGitare (Tariro Ruzvidzo) that evening.

According to the organisers of the show, she will bring a travelling party of 11 people including her full band and part of her management.

“She arrives at the Harare International Airport at 12:05pm aboard a South African Airways flight,” Chris Musabayana of Ghetto fabulous Entertainment said.

“From the airport, she will have lunch at Crowne Plaza where she would be staying on this tour.”

He said they were already through with all paperwork.

Coined A Tale of 2 Cities: 2013 Curtain Call, the tour will also see the Loliwe singer coming into the country to launch her second album Phendula that hit the market in South Africa in September.

Just hours after its release, the album hit the number one spot on South African charts, a sign that the musician was another success story after her revered debut Loliwe.

Although the current album may not have received similar attention to the first one owing to its slower tempo, the musician has established herself as a stage favourite whenever she performs in Harare.

Her prowess, coupled with the Tuku factor, should win it for the organisers.

Tuku has a distinct effect that has made him a remarkable performer, while Tariro neGitare, though fairly new, has been holding her own on different platforms locally.
