WARRIORS and Chicken Inn striker Tendai Ndoro, who is back in the country on loan from South Africa’s Mpumalanga Black Aces, says he is targeting winning the Mbada Diamonds Cup as a special dedication to his late coach Adam Ndlovu.

And his first port of call for the GameCox is beating Caps United in the quarter-finals of the tournament at Ascot Stadium in Gweru tomorrow.
Ndoro penned a two-year contract with Amazayoni with an option for another year, but Zifa declined to issue him with an International Transfer Certificate, in line with Fifa statutes as his papers were not lodged on time.
He had banged 12 goals for Chicken Inn before he was snapped by Aces, but returned on loan for the rest of the season last Friday and played a full 90 minutes against Harare City on Saturday at Luveve Stadium in a game which ended 1-1.
Ndoro yesterday told our Bulawayo Bureau that he was ready for tomorrow’s quarter-final tie against the Green Machine.
“I am happy to be back at Chicken Inn because I want to help the team when we play Caps United in the Mbada Diamonds Cup. I am also happy to be back because I want to get more game time. I also want to help the team win the cup. My aim is also to work hard so that we finish the league in a good position,” he said.
“What is important now is for us to play as a team. This cup is also important because it will add to our list of awards if we win it. We also want to win this competition because we want to dedicate it to our late coach Adam Ndlovu. We will also be playing for him when we face Caps United,” he added.

At Aces, Ndoro joined former Caps United and Warriors captain Method Mwanjali and goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro and is relishing at the chance of teaming up with fellow Zimbabweans.
George Morfou, Aces co-chairman said that it was pertinent for Ndoro to get sufficient game time and that when Chicken Inn requested him back, they jumped at the opportunity.
“He is a very valuable player in our squad and we have also developed a good relationship with Chicken Inn. They are a professional club and we felt he needed to go home and get regular game time,” Morfou said.
Aces are in 12th place with five points from six games, having managed just one win, two draws and three losses and were knocked out of the Telkom Cup by Orlando Pirates on Tuesday night after losing 3-1.
Ndoro’s first game for Aces in the New Year could be against defending champions Kaizer Chiefs on January 24.
To get to the quarter-final, Chicken Inn walloped Shabanie Mine 3-0 at Mandava Stadium, while Caps United beat Motor Action 7-6 on penalties to go through to the next round of the competition.
Chicken Inn have already bagged the NetOne Charity Shield, having beaten Caps United 3-2 at Mandava Stadium in March in the final to lift the Cup.
Caps United are aware of the danger Ndoro poses as he scored the solitary goal in a league match at Luveve Stadium in May against the Green Machine.
