Titled Yave Munesu-Bhora Mberi, the album was launched at City Sports Bar on Wednesday evening.

Dr Tsodzo, who was the guest of honour at the event, composed the title track of the album.

“I think this album is very good and people should support Gift because he is a very talented musician,” he said on the sidelines of the event.

“I am not only saying this because I wrote one of the songs Bhora Mberi, but because I have listened to the music and have fallen in love with it,” Tsodzo said.

Tsodzo, who is a nephew of the legendary writer Thompson “TK” Tsodzo, said he had been observing Amuli’s music and decided to give him the song.

“I wrote this song Bhora Mberi after I had written an inspirational book with the same title,” he said.

“I believe Gift is the right person to spread the words of inspiration and hope which are both in the song and my book,” he said.

Commenting on the song Bhora Mberi, Amuli said he loved the message.

“It is a great song. I had never composed an inspirational song before and I love the positive message in it,” the Zvishavane-based musician said.

The other tracks on the album are Muchengeti, Muporofita, Zvawada, Ndiwe and Ndirimuranda.

The launch was attended by scores of people including officials from the Ministry of Information.

Ex-Leonard Zhakata band members, Vagoni Vebasa, and First Farai, who recently launched his 10th album at the same venue, performed as supporting acts.
