13:17 – ZEC not addressing journalists but only issuing a printed statement.

13:16 – SADC ECF has only 25 observers covering the whole country.

13:07 – SADC ECF Chairperson says there is no country with a clean voters’ roll.

13:01 – SADC ECF  says the polls were held in line with SADC guidelines.

12:59 – The percentage of excess ballot papers should be reduced.

12:59 – ZEC should distribute voter material timeously.

12:58 – SADC ECF recommendations – need to clean up the voters’ roll.

12:54 –  SADC ECF notes with concern the biased media coverage given to some political parties.

12:53 – The SADC ECF is satisfied by the calm and peace in the campaigning period

12:52 – SADC  ECF notes with concern the problems encountered by aliens in registering.

12:51 -The mission ECF notes with concern that the voters roll was not availed in time.

12:50 – SADC ECF notes the efforts by ZEC to avoid double voting of those who voted in the special votes

12:45 –  Finally, 1 hour forty-five minutes later, SADC ECF officials appear to address journalists before ZEC.

12:30 – A ZEC official announces that the press conference will start in the next ‘few minutes’.

12:25: Meanwhile at the MDC-T press conference Morgan Tsvangirai says the just ended election did not meet the AU and Sadc guidelines, says the voters roll was tampered with and cites militarisation of the process.

Says it is null and void, a ‘monumental fraud’.

12:20 – Zec keeps mum as time ticks away with no sign of any officials coming to address the presser.

12:10 – Journalists are trickling out, reportedly to to a press conference being addressed by MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

11:55 – Frustrated journalists are beginning to leave the conference room as Zec officials are yet to appear, 55 minutes after the presser was due to start.

11:45: Forty five minutes after it was scheduled to start,  Zec officials are yet to appear for the press conference.

11:15. An announcement has been made that the presser has been delayed as some of the Zec officials due to address are locked up in a meeting.
