The campus night will see the Ninja President Winky D performing back-to-back with his archrival Donald Chirisa aka Sniper Storm while Desmond “Stunner” Chideme also features at the gig.

“We were in Gweru last Friday, activating the Midlands State University students and this Saturday we will be activating Africa University students at Hillside Golf Club. Entertainment will be provided by Winky D, Stunner and Sniper Storm,” said one of the event marketers Elizabeth Mukabeta.

The activation parties are acting as a build up to the annual Lion Summer Festival, scheduled for October 12 this year.

They are being held for all major universities in Bulawayo, Masvingo, Mutare, Bindura and Chinhoyi culminating into the big day in October.

Delta Beverages marketing manager Patricia Murambinda said the company aims at uplifting music in Zimbabwe.

“We are delighted to introduce the Lion Campus Nite Activations and further our shared aim of uplifting music in the country,” she said. Murambinda added that music plays a major role in many people’s lifestyle.

“Music plays a central role in our lives and only the best beer has to support this initiative. Lion Lager has stood the test of time in music sponsorship and will continue to engage in promotional activities to uplift both the brand and music in Zimbabwe,” she said.

The Lion Lager Beer Festival has hosted several international acts such as Bennie Man, Fantan Mojah and last year, P Square.
