The song from Chimbetu’s latest release Compass has proved to be the most popular track on the album.

Mtukudzi’s raspy voice adds sweetness to the song in which the artiste talks about the challenges that people encounter when they lose their heads at hotels.

It has the dendera beat which is distinguished by a booming bass guitar.

Explaining the meaning of the song to NewsDay, Chimbetu said it explores how a number of people enjoy at the hotel where there is casino and a number of entertaining activities.

“We were just explaining how people enjoy at a hotel and in the casino. We explore a number of refreshing things that are found at a hotel,” Chimbetu said.

The song is receiving fair airplay on radio stations and public places.

However, Chimbetu said he was happy with the whole album although some songs are still to make an impact.

Other songs on the six-track album are Ndondo, Bhora Mberi (that featured Peter Moyo) Wangu , Pfuti and Mombe Mombe. On the song Ndondo the musician narrates how money can cause division in families.

Women are supposed to stand by their men and they should be proud of their husbands even if people look down upon them as revealed by Chimbetu on song Wangu.

The 22-year-old musician takes fans to the time of Naison and Simon Chimbetu during the Marxists Brothers era on the song Mombe. On the last song Bhora Mberi the musician gives hope to the nation indicating that this year is for wonders.

Chimbetu said he was happy with the way promoters were showing confidence in his new project. He thanked Mtukudzi and Alick Macheso for their unwavering support.

“Without them, I would not be where I am today. I want to thank them for their understanding.”
